- Assistant researcher at the Alberta Cross Cancer Institute in the department of medical physics under Dr. Atiyah Yahya- Developed a quantification method for cancer-related metabolites in the brain using magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) with a Point-Resolved Spectroscopy Sequence (PRESS)- Performed computational analysis of MR data using MATLAB- Gained experience in signal processing with a 9.4 T MR scanner and related electronic equipment- Presented our findings at the Cross Cancer student research symposium in August 2014 and at the Alberta Imaging Symposium in June 2016- This research was published by NMR in Biomedicine in August 2016 (linked below)

- Worked with a team of computer scientists and engineers to develop a new machine learning based method for recommending products to web users- To achieve this, we utilized an Alternating Least Square (ALS) Matrix Factorization algorithm, Scala, Apache Spark, and AWS S3 buckets- The project was completed and presented at a company tech demo in August 2015
