After returning to the company following my graduation to an Event Manager role I have taken on more responsibility within the venue. I look after key clients event's and deliver these to a high standard ensuring their success. Since progressing to this role I now primarily look after larger conference and exhibition events and with this comes more complex operational logistics for me to overcome. I continue to learn from each event and am able to apply this experience from one event to the next.My organistional skills continually develop whilst caring for multiple events at one time and ensuring I prioritise tasks efficiently. As a manager I now have the added responsibility of overseeing the event coordinators tasks and offering guidence and deadlines when needed, this is something I feel I have thrived in and enjoy.

Whilst working for etc.venues for my year in industry as part of my degree I organised events ranging from meetings for 10 delegates to conferences for 250, including pre event details as well as on the day support. Through managing multiple events at one time I was able to priortise tasks and learn to manage my time. Gained excellent AV knowledge including setting up microphones, projectors and conference phones as well as being on hand to sort out any AV issues during the event itself.Helping out with other departments such as the food and beverage team allowed me to gain skills such as serving at awards dinners to managing the bar for an evening drinks event for my clients.Working with such a great team allowed me to thrive and taught me to see if anyone was struggling that we can rely on eachother.

Whilst working at Dorothy Perkins I gained skills that enable me to communicate on all levels, from customers on shop floor through to management and team members. Through my creativity I often completed window and shop floor designs. Other tasks involved organisational skills gained through stock management and multitasking skills through managing more than one customer at once. At the end of the day I would assist with cashing up so gained money handling skills. I received good customer feedback as shown through customer surveys. Through a change in management during my time at the company I learnt that I am able to adapt and handle changes within a working environment.
