(Don't quote me on this, but at age 24 I believe I am one of the youngest individuals to hold a Finance Director role on a U.S. Senate race.) As Finance Director, I:-Oversaw the campaign’s finance operation in the creation, execution, and oversight of a finance plan that raised over $7.2 million for the special election (raising $936,000 solely from the state of Mississippi - this was a heavily grassroots-based campaign where 94% of contributions were under $100 and the average contribution was roughly $38) -Identified and raised $220,000 to the Mike Espy Victory Fund – a joint campaign committee with the Mississippi Democratic Party -Worked closely with the campaign manager and DSCC staff on the campaign budget; tracked cash flow; maintained daily, weekly, and monthly finance projections; and sent daily fundraising updates to senior campaign staff and the candidate-Strategically targeted donors with an in-house direct mail program and worked closely with the digital firm to engage low-dollar donors through digital solicitation as well as reaching out to Democratic signers to help bolster the digital fundraising program-Responsible for working with the compliance team to record, process, and deposit all contributions; approved quarterly and 48-hour FEC finance reports; and prepared and approved the joint victory fund allocations for the transfer file for the campaign and the Mississippi Democratic Party-Managed a five person finance team that included a DC finance consultant and National finance consultant-Traveled with and staffed the candidate at in-state and national fundraising events and donor meetings-Organized fundraising event with special guests Senator Kamala Harris, Senator Corey Booker, and Former President Bill Clinton
