• Edit and proofread curriculum content for thousands of lesson plans, hundreds of exams, and numerous textbooks across 3 continents of writers serving grades K–10 in Liberia, Nigeria, India, Rwanda, and Kenya. • Design and co-author first-ever Instructional Design department-wide foundational resources, including a comprehensive House Style Guide, Proofreading Checklist, and Continuing Education Editing Training for writers. • Provide urgent, sensitive, and asynchronous feedback to address writer quality without impacting deadlines, often involving independent problem-solving when working across time zones. • Collaborate with both Instructional Design and Production teams to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting 100% of deadlines, being flexible to government requests and changes, and exceeding quality expectations. • Analyze formatting and styling of lesson plans and exams and utilize editing tools such as Track Changes in Microsoft Word and PDF Editor in Adobe Acrobat to guarantee proper display in both CMS and print while utilizing trackers to confirm and update the status of projects and files in Google Drive. • Advise team members on NewGlobe-specific terms and styles, territory-specific language for 14 different territories, and British English spelling and grammar conventions. • Implement feedback received during weekly one-on-one meetings with managers to continuously improve work quality, prioritize projects and edits, and identify areas of improvement in the editorial process.• Participate in weekly peer review and engagement sessions with multiple departments to brainstorm higher-level developmental edits for lesson plans and identify the strongest and most effective pedagogical approach for topics.• Achieve certification in Direct Instruction to provide higher-level developmental edits to lesson plans for all subjects and grade levels, with a focus on mathematics over the past 7 months.
