About Marissa Wu
Bonjour! I'm a digital/print content writer/editor and the SEO Editor at PureWow. My beats: as an SEO person, officially, everything. But what I'm most interested in is: beauty, travel, art, and sustainability. Why? I spent 19 wild months in Paris (2019-2020), am a photographer, art-lover, and aspiring novelist by night (currently working on book 1). Having grown up in California, sustainability is important to me, and I'm always on the hunt for brands that are trying to do better for the planet and people. Thought I try to be a Jane-of-all-trades, I most enjoy feature writing, diving deep into interesting topics and human stories. I write monthly newsletter, joyride, which explores the intersection of beauty with work, art, and identity. Subscribe here: marissamwu.substack.com.Skills: digital/print content production, social media management, project management, SEO research/writing, e-commerce/affiliate writing, article research/editing, newsletter curation, and visual content production (film + digital photography). Always ready to learn something new. I speak French, love France, and am constantly looking for opportunities that will take me back! Also open to remote work. Find me pecking away at a manuscript on my 1930s Royal Aristocrat typewriter or looking for beauty in the everyday with one of my many film cameras.
