Marissa Olivas, MPA: Marissa Olivas is a municipal professional specializing in community engagement, volunteer management, and non-profit partnerships. She has worked for the City of Coppell since 2018, working in the Community Engagement Division of Community Experiences as the Community Programs Coordinator. Marissa is the liaison to the City of Coppell’s non-profit partner, the Coppell Sustainable Food Organization, which consists of the Coppell Community Garden and the Coppell Farmers Market. Marissa coordinates Keep Coppell Beautiful, focusing on environmental education, community beautification, and litter abatement. Marissa is a leader of her organization in volunteers as the chair of the Volunteer Management Committee, one of the most experienced staff members who work with volunteers working with Adult and Teen volunteers. She will pursue her Certification of Volunteer Administration, CVA, this Fall. Marissa is an alumnus of the University of North Texas, where she studied International Studies, Family & Child Studies, and Ethnomusicology, with a minor in Anthropology and a certificate in Mexican American and Latino Studies. Marissa Olivas graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Master of Public Administration in 2023.
