Technical business consultant working with RSC BIO to create a better world by leading the development and acceptance of sustainable fluids and chemical technology. In my previous role, I directed all aspects of fleet maintenance for an offshore solutions provider operating in the renewable energy and hydrocarbon sectors. This encompassed five self-propelled jack-up wind turbine installation vessels (WTIVs). I monitored all vessel modifications, repairs, dry docking periods, and special surveys as the Department Head, leading a team of Maintenance Superintendents and Chief Engineers. My primary objective involved ensuring vessel readiness and availability through continuous regulatory compliance, up-to-date Flag and Class certifications, and timely issue resolution. Key Achievements: ~ Established department policies and procedures, emphasising efficiency improvement and scalable business growth; facilitated company expansion from two operating vessels to five. ~ Generated foundational expertise in renewable energy sector; team and personal involvement in numerous offshore start up and operational meetings regarding major mono-piling, TP, and wind turbine installation projects. ~ Primary point of contact for vessel warranty and defect claims; managed multi million pound warranty process and secured over $500K from final warranty claim submission negotiations, significantly surpassing anticipated $150K settlement. ~ Financial approver for fleet Repair and Maintenance operations; eliminated $3M+ in department expenses through proactive budget optimisation and administration. ~ Managed and allocated R&M and CAPEX budgets exceeding $10M. ~ Selected as Operation Lead for new vessel build team; advised build programmes in optimal technical specifications and engineering best practices.

Throughout my career with the Royal Navy, I was advanced through numerous positions of increased scope and authority. As a Marine Engineer onboard the HMS Daring, I was tasked with all aspects of vessel equipment performance and repair. I supervised our Marine Engineering personnel to ensure adherence to operational protocols and best practices. This included evaluating, tracking, and documenting equipment deficiencies and design defects to develop improvement recommendations. In addition, I regularly liaised with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and external authorities to optimise technical resources and systems. Key Achievements: ~ Selected by Senior Naval Officer to facilitate HMS Daring construction and commissioning, directly supporting integration of first £1B T45 Destroyer in the Royal Navy. ~ Recognised with Acceptance of Contract (AOC) milestone for achieving timely, high-quality project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications.~ Led HV and safety systems as High Voltage Authorising Engineer and Authorised Person.~ Authored comprehensive machinery breakdown and operating instructions for T45 Destroyer to secure cohesive systems maintenance and repair; widely approved by top external authorities.

In association with the MoD Defence Equipment and Support Procurement Organisation, I promoted equipment functionality and improvement by overseeing various T23 Frigate projects and programmes. As the first point of contact for propulsion control issues, I evaluated and resolved diverse general, technical and commodity concerns. Key Achievements: ~ Led D86 Machinery Control System Modification Programme; monitored project operations and personnel to ensure adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements. ~ Advised obsolescent systems replacement as core tender assessment team member.

At this position, I was accountable for managing preventative and corrective equipment maintenance for an offshore marine vessel. My primary area of expertise was propulsion systems and instrumentation. My early onshore and offshore roles with the Royal Navy included Marine Engineer, Fleet Technical Support Desk Officer, Classroom Instructor, Command and Control Instructor, Seagoing Technician Training Officer, Fleet Maintenance Engineer, and Junior Marine Engineering Mechanic.
