I have the main responsibility for follow-up, support, and validation of 18 NIR instrument for seven factories in Norway, Turkey and Australia. The work demands the delivery of 250 yearly validation reports, that needs to be delivered on the agreed time for each instrument. In addition, the work also consists of:- Responsibility of validation of the data output for an online NIR instrument. - Remote installation of software and new instruments- Implementation of calibrations for new raw materials - General troubleshooting of instruments - Receiving and registering samples for validationThe last two years I have also held the responsibility for a yearly global ring test. This includes receiving and evaluating over 400 different raw materials, where 150 of them are analyzed and returned to the factories. The work also includes analyzing and approving the wet chemistry results, making templates, and making sure the shipment of samples sets is performed in a timely manner. Here I have written a new procedure that significantly improves the workflow to make sure the project is well coordinated between the NIR Team and the lab.I am involved in research and innovation, mainly by development of new calibrations on MicroNIR. This includes scanning known and novel raw materials and feeds and determining if the instrument is suitable for the samples. After scanning, I do spectral data analysis to determine the quality and potential of the data. The research is done in collaboration with different research departments. I am a part of the audit team as lead auditor where the role includes reviewing different procedures with focus on HSE throughout the organization. Here I perform up to two audits a year as an audit leader.

In my role I had the main responsibility for the PCR lab, including managing, coordinating and analysis.My main achievement was moving and implementing the entire PCR lab to a new location, where a significant improvement in the methods and workflow to avoid contamination was achieved.I was responsible for multiplex gene expression analysis of RNA in Salmon salar using traditional Taq polymerase PCR, RT-PCR (reverse transcriptase) and multiplex gene expression analysis using the GenomeLab GeXP Genetic Analysis System. This also included RNA extraction. In my work I performed up to 500 RNA extractions 1500 multiplex gene expression analyses annually. I performed all statistical analysis of the gene expression data and reported out to researchers.My main responsibilities were also to plan and coordinate the analyses with researchers and the research station, making sure they results were accurate and delivered on time. I also took care of stock and ordering of equipment and kits for the PCR lab. In addition, I regularly participated in samplings for fish trials and assisted in other lab work, such as grinding.

In my role I had the responsibility for samples sent for chemical and microbiological analysis of water samples. My main responsibility included interpreting the results and advise on proper water treatment to make sure the drinking water was safe. I made recommendations for private drinking wells, private surface water sources, households that were not satisfied with the quality of their municipal drinking water and contractors of smaller buildings. I also participated in projects for municipal water treatment plants and smaller internal projects to determine the effectivity of flocculation aids. Additional work also included general customer service, consulting and translation of documents from English to Norwegian.

Engineer at the Department of Medical Microbiology where I held the role as engineer, with the same responsibilities as a bioengineer.My roles included:- Receiving and registering incoming samples from all divisions of the hospital and regional doctors offices.- Sowing and plating all types of samples and tissues for microbial analysis, including samples for tuberculosis analysis, on the correct medium- Microbial analysis of urine samples, including: bacterial detection on agar plates, antibiotic resistance testing and test result reporting- Removing and adding blood cultures for incubation and determining positive samples- Species detection by the use of MALDI-Tof mass spectrometry analysis- Responsible for daily quality control routines using internal ringt tests consiting of kniown ATCC/CCUS bacterial strains.In this role I obtained broad skills in advanced medical microbiology, and I am well familiar with all basic microbial methods. I am also familiar with quarantine samples such as tuberculosis, MRSA, VRE and ESBL. I was also responsible for storing bacterial samples in the biobank of the division during weekend shifts. During my last year, I assisted in researchers by sorting out samples that were good candidates for ongoing research projects.I worked summers (12 weeks) during 2012, 2013 and 2014. I was employed 30% part time from August 2014 to May 2015.

This has given me skills such as fast thinking, efficient working methods and the ability to keep calm and organized during very busy working hours.
