About Mari Triplett

Like many others, I never set out to be a sales professional. When I half-heartedly took an interview at a boutique recruiting firm shortly after college, little did I know how much of an impact that pivot would be. Sales has been an exciting journey full of twists and turns, always pushing me to learn and improve, and allowing me to carve my own unique path. The dynamic nature of sales means that achieving mutual success never follows the exact same approach, and there's always an opportunity to learn and improve. Blending my enthusiasm for sales with my love of coaching and supporting others has been incredibly rewarding. What lights me up:• Coaching others, recognizing the profound long-term impact of cascading effects• Setting and attaining aspirational goals, as an individual, but especially as part of a team• Finding the "Why" in what we're doing, as even the simplest motivations can fuel perseverance• Bringing my whole self to work, and encouraging others to do the same• A relentless curiosity, as new people, perspectives, subjects, and ideas consistently captivate me• Challenge. It's not fun for me if it's easy.I love meeting new people and embarking on new learning journeys, so please do reach out and connect with me if I can every be helpful to you or your network.

Business Development Manager

Boston, Ma (Northeast Region)

As Business Development Manager at FoodEx, I actively sought out new opportunities to grow our business, identified and partnered with qualified food producers and food buyers of all sizes, and maintained relationships with these accounts. I helped many of these partners to improve their regional produce supply chains, by implementing quality programs with producers, simplifying their ordering processes, and providing consultation on which ingredients and projects would most efficiently meet their local purchasing goals. Additionally, my role allowed me to strengthen and develop partnerships with various stakeholders in the food industry within the region, including regulatory bodies, policy advocates, non-profit agencies, and other organizations in the private industry. While attending Friedman, I supplemented my core curriculum with supply chain courses at the Sloan School of Management at MIT, and food business courses at the Fletcher School of Law and diplomacy. I held two internships as well, at New Entry Sustainable Farming Project which provides support and resources to Refugee and beginning farmers, and at a small scale farm that sustainably produced a wide variety of produce.
