About Maritz Van Zyl

I leverage my 25+ years of experience in local government finance and management to provide ERP/EMS tool analysis and process architecture solutions for municipalities across South Africa. I am also a certified mSCOA National Treasury/ CIGFARO preferred trainer, and I have been deeply involved in the implementation, oversight, training, and integration of the mSCOA regulation since its inception in 2010.My passion for local government stems from my lifelong commitment to foster the art of service delivery and improve the efficiency and transparency of municipal operations. I have extensive knowledge and skills in system requirements/design versus regulation, budgeting, reporting, debt collection, property rates, GRAP, GIS, data cleansing, risk management, Dashboard reporting and AFS compilation.
