As a little girl, I was entranced by the enchanting world of books. I eagerly anticipated my mum taking me to the library, where the scent of ink and paper filled my senses as I explored the shelves. I would get lost in the stories, letting the words and illustrations transport me to new and magical places.One of my fondest childhood memories was reading "Bollie" to my grandmother every week. This comic strip about the adventures of a lovable blue bunny in "Die Huisgenoot" was a highlight of my childhood. As I grew older, my love for reading expanded to include magazines, particularly the glossy pages of fashion and lifestyle publications. I was drawn to their creative energy and visual storytelling, and dreamed of one day being part of a production team.These early experiences with books and magazines sparked a lifelong passion for words and creativity, leading me to pursue a career in communications and design. I started my first job at a magazine, where I couldn't help but feel like I was living in a real-life "The Devil Wears Prada" scenario. Today, I work in fast-paced corporate and use my passion for words, design, and branding to help create powerful and effective communication and marketing strategies that make a meaningful impact, capturing people's attention and building real human connection.Throughout my career, I have refined my stakeholder engagement and brand building skills, while also developing a deep appreciation for dynamic, creative, and interactive communication models that prioritise clear and concise information.As I've progressed through various roles and opportunities, I've gained expertise in a range of disciplines, including change management, internal brand management, as well as campaign and events management.I'm also passionate about training and believe strongly in the importance and value of transferring skills, whether through formal training programmes or coaching and mentoring.
