Office Manager/ Bookkeeper
Current-Work with the Director in planning, budgeting and executing financial transactions for the Refugee and Placement (R&P) and the Match Grant programs.-Supervising the implementation of policies and procedures of the governmental programs, maintaining compliance with the Department of State (DOS) and the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). -Accounts Payable, Account Receivables, and Bank Reconciliations for all existing accounts. -Recompilation and reconciliation of the Immigration program’s weekly client fees, processing bank deposit and transfer of program funds to headquarters at the end of each month.-Responsible for invoice revision and payment of all office expenses, payment requests by programs and employee reimbursements. -Maintained General Ledger, Quicken Files and ERP Accounting system. -Corporate credit card monthly reconciliation.-Semimonthly Payroll Processing. -Manage basic Human Resources issues. -Order all office supplies and manage the office equipment operations as needed. Effective communication with outside office vendors as well as maintain good relations. Case-Management Supervisor-Opened and maintained refugee cases assigned by DOS during the R&P period. -Maintained programs procedures and guidelines following the requirements by DOS & ORR guidelines. -Administered orientation to refugee families directly after arrival.-Assessment of clients needs of medical, immigration issues, education, employment, transportation, food, clothing and housing.-Secure information, such as medical psychological and social factors contributing to clients’ situations.-Coordinate services for clients provided by other government agencies. For example: Public Health Department, Department of Children and Families, Department of Education, Employment Service Provider, etc.-Compile records and prepared reports meeting deadlines required by World Relief National Office, DOS and ORR.
