Responsible for shaping and overseeing the policy framework and authorization processes within the organization. Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies that ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while also managing the authorization and accreditation processes for educational programs. Collaborates with various stakeholders, including academic departments, regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, and government officials, to maintain educational standards and navigate the complex landscape of educational compliance.Key responsibilities include policy development and implementation, staying informed about legislative changes, strategic planning, risk assessment, and quality assurance. Provides leadership to a team to ensure effective compliance, and produces comprehensive reports to inform decision-making at the institution. Strong background in education policy, outstanding leadership skills, and the ability to balance regulatory compliance with institutional goals and mission.

Responsible for the project management and timely delivery of compliance reporting requirements as defined by relevant local, state, and federal agencies, school charters, and any key external stakeholders and outside funders. Critical to ensure the schools have a highly developed system in place to monitor student and staff health and safety compliance requirements. Additionally, manages the successful development, implementation, and maintenance of school site-specific plans, regional compliance, and accountability. Responsible for holding a strong knowledge base of the current state and federal education compliance environment.Specific emphasis focused on: Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Reporting, Authorizer Annual Oversight Inspections, and Charter Authorizer Reporting requirements. Also, supports organizational and regional work to ensure schools meet Local Control and Accountability Plans (LCAP) requirements, Federal Program Monitoring (FPM) reviews, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accreditation process, and charter renewals process.

Serves in a cross-functional support role and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal agencies, as needed. Works closely with both academic and operations teams to standardize and improve compliance processes, as well as the collection, access, analysis, and use of data. Supports general data collection, analysis, and quality assurance and thinks creatively about how to best use data to impact students outcomes.

Regional Supervisors works with multiple Community, City, and Charter partners to ensure quality and fidelity of Expanded Learning programs, support operations and oversight of schools in the community. Regional Supervisor's also ensure that policies and procedures are followed for the California Department of Education. Regional Supervisors lead strategically, act intentionally, and work collaboratively across the Los Angeles County Charter Schools platform to ensure success amongst the communities serviced.

As a Regional Supervisor the main function is to ensure all policies and procedures are being followed in compliance with CDE state, and federal grant requirements as well as providing oversight and professional development for staff at multiple Charter Schools throughout Los Angeles County.

Ensure that high-quality after-school programs for children and youth are consistently delivered to students through coaching and supporting Site Coordinators and Program Coordinators. Model professionalism and leadership for Site Coordinators, and Program Coordinators provide staff development training and follow-up coaching and support to ensure that they are best prepared to teach, help, inspire, and nurture students.

Manage all aspects of a single THINK Together educational site to ensure that the program meets educational and recreational objectives and is managed in accordance with policies and procedures including safe work practices. Supervise all staff and volunteers assigned to the site to provide well-coordinated student assistance. Liaise with parents, collaborators, school management, donors and visitors to display the site and the program positively.

Worked directly with an assigned class of approximately 25 students, acting as a positive adult role model, coach, and mentor. Had a genuine interest in the growth, development, and provision of a safe and nurturing environment for the students taught. Had ability to establish authority through leadership, communication, and most importantly patience, in giving our students the stability and nurturing atmosphere they need to succeed.
