I have been a dedicated member of my community and understand how to serve it by connecting various levels of the community. I am dedicated to working with organizations and community members that contribute towards meaningful causes. In my current position as a VP, I provide accurate strategy to national and Arizona funders. Whether legislative races, statewide races or school board candidates, I am committed to providing truthful insight into Arizona's political landscape. In addition to advising donors, I work to build coalitions for my clients by bringing together like-minded organizations. Providing inside political information is another important aspect that I bring to the advisement to my c3 clients. Following the 2020 election, I moved to the funding world by becoming the Arizona State Director for The Impact Project. I oversaw the funder's work in Arizona. Through the work of my Arizona team, organizations defended against hundreds of bad democracy bills and economic security bills, protected the child tax credit from creditors, and expanded Medicaid postpartum coverage. Consistent strategic funding led to a smart legislative session of accountability work focused on tested messages. To ready the team for the 2022 elections, I was a key and early voice at TIP identifying Latino voters as a persuasion audience, which helped to shift their strategy significantly in Arizona (and other states). Additionally, I assisted in-state partners in securing additional donors to support their work.The opportunity to be the first Latina and mom to take on the position of the Executive Director of the Maricopa County Democratic Party was an honor. Diversifying the candidate and staff pool to reflect Maricopa County was a priority. Leading the Party through the tumultuous 2020 election was challenging and therefore rewarding. Under my leadership, we raised the most money in Party history and I was able to leave the organization in a sound financial footing. Beginning in the legal field, I spent 15 years managing a successful, community-oriented law firm as a client liaison and Office Manager. Those 15 years in the legal field were the foundation for all my career endeavors. Along with being a successful business owner and a political candidate, I have dedicated myself to being a productive community advocate.I understand the need for an honest and knowledgeable partner in funding and advocacy work.
