As a Payroll Accountant at City of Mill Valley, I am responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing, benefits enrollment, business licenses, and accounts receivable for over 200 employees. I have been in this role for two and a half years, and I have consistently delivered accurate and timely financial reports and transactions, using various software tools such as ADP Workforce, Tyler Technologies, MS Office, MS Excel, QuickBooks, and Kronos.I have a strong background in accounts payable, having worked as a Senior Accounts Payable for the same city for five and a half years before my promotion to my current position. In that role, I processed weekly check runs, evaluated employee expense reports, monthly reconciliation of employee credit cards, maintained accounting databases, and investigated and resolved variances and discrepancies. I also completed the Southern Marin Management Academy, a collaborative management training program for public sector employees, in 2019. I hold a BA in Business Management from Dominican University of California, where I graduated cum laude in 2021. I am proficient in both English and Spanish, and I have excellent interpersonal, communication, and multitasking abilities. I am passionate about providing high-quality accounting services and support to the city and its stakeholders.
