Maritza Ochoa is a determined student-athlete who is majoring in International Business at Azusa Pacific University. She has recently completed very useful courses at the institution like Marketing, Business management, and accounting. Before doing this she was able to use her ability to speak two languages and perform well with people at her previous job. She is an LA County Parks and Rec employee where she had the position of a lifeguard. She decided to be a part of her low income community located in south LA. Being a lifeguard there was a way for her to keep the pool open and allow children to distract themselves from gang/violent activities that were bound to happen around them. They motivated her to help her community grow and be successful just like she did.Maritza is excellent with her ability to manage time, multitask, be a leader, problems solve, and work well under pressure. While doing this she also speaks to languages, spanish and english.
