Post a Sabbatical returned to SABMiller. As result of takeover by ABInBev new organizational structures are being finalized. Were placed temporary in Container Planner position.• Generating and managing returnable container injection plans/forecasts• Determining and implementing new returnable container injections• Planning interregional movements and empty leg requirements• Reconciling and reporting monthly Container Movement Reports (CMR) • Identifying and implementing constraint trade-offs• Review high level metrics and assumptions (escalating proposed assumptions adjustments to the Container Manager) • Managing the crate manufacturing performance

- Manage the development of Demand Plans by the Planners responsible for the different units- Ensuring that business enablers (process and systems) are aligned to achieving current business objectives- Management of the interaction with various stakeholders contributing to the short-term and tactical demand plans- Management of the quality of market intelligence input to the generation of forecasts- Generation and publishing of relevant reports to the various stakeholders- Manage interface between Sales, operations and demand planning- Manage budgeting and PF adjustment input as required by the Finance and Planning Manager.- Management of the demand planning team - Continuously review the Demand Planning process

- Full ownership for all training & development of Supply Chain Planning employees- Development of Job Descriptions & CAP Documents for Supply Chain roles- Development of electronic learning material for various Supply Chain roles- Roll out and monitoring of Supply Chain Academy

The role consists of several projects that need assessment and decision making on way forward. Interaction with relevant business stakeholders to provide required input and execute designed plans is crucial in the success of this role. Projects included:- New operational system to replace old system used for deployment planning Design & Implementation of system Design of user training material  - Reducing out of stocks by a Multi-discipline analysis performed across last two Peaks for all outlying depots Tailor made proposal done on approach for 2014 Peak for each site Communication drafted to all stakeholders on actions required Daily management & coordination of activities during peak to ensure focus & alignment Post-peak analysis of results and feedback compiled for future use - Design a Segmented Supply Chain Analyse current way of planning deployment Suggest segmented approach to planning and design best fit model Statistical analysis done and Safety stock values calculated for each depot-product combination System compatibility done for each model and excel model designed in absence of compatibility to ensure benefit is derived - Customer Interactive Centre Integration CIC is point of contact for all customers to place stock orders and therefore also point of recording true demand and out of stocks Process map drew up of complete customer ordering process identifying points in process where Out of Stocks are recorded as well as reporting & processes linked to these points Business process mapped on handling of out of stock at depot level to ensure that focus customers receive required allocation - Operations Manual designed Complete Stock planning process drafted as input into e-learning to be used as training for new employees going forward.

Operational accountability is to:- Plan, optimise and control optimum stock levels across the sales depots, Breweries and distributor grid as well as Export countries- Ensure container plan (reverse logistics) execution meets cost and availability targets at Breweries- Custodian of age concession management on behalf of planning.- Daily/weekly communication to planning and wider business stakeholders- Management of the stock planning team to ensure;- Continues review and inputs to Advanced planning cycles - Ensuring that business enablers (process and systems) are aligned to achieving future business objectives.

- Provision of tactical sales forecasts (daily and weekly) - Provision of medium term sales forecasts (monthly and annual) - Management information and feedback to key customers - Daily brand/pack tracking - Tracking the accuracy of forecasts against agreed and ad hoc measures

- Reporting (volume, pricing, availability)- Analysis of trends - Identification of opportunities- Management of all promotional material
