Maritza Ruano is a Human Resources and Talent Management professional with experience implementing and managing the talent management and human resources functions as well as with providing external consulting in the areas of competency modeling, organizational surveys, job analysis, selection, performance management, and multi-source feedback. Maritza has provided human resource solutions to organizations in a variety of industries including retail, pharmaceuticals, sales, insurance brokerage, non-profit, and manufacturing. Before working at the College of DuPage, she was the Senior Director of Talent Management at the AIDS Foundation Chicago (AFC) where she lead the organization's HR and talent management function. Prior to her work with AFC, she was a talent management consultant for APTMetrics and also worked as a human resources generalist for a large insurance brokerage and consulting organization where she developed, implemented, and supported human resource processes. Earlier in her career, she worked in the manufacturing sector where she served as a strategic human resource services partner in the areas of recruitment and selection, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.Maritza received her master’s degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology’s industrial-organizational psychology program. She received a bachelor’s degree in industrial-organizational psychology from DePaul University.
