Modeling of Nonlinear Dynamical Systems by alternative methods.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I develop fully automated financial models for the trading of just about anything. As long as there is data, a model can be built.I use methods from a number of diverse disciplines: Applied Mathematics, Physics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning, Dispersive Wave Theory, Signal Processing, Statistics, and, of course, Common Sense. There are sound physical and mathematical rules governing any dynamical system such as the financial markets. The right model should then produce concrete rules for understanding and monitoring the markets. For this reason, I do NOT build black box models since I believe it is just about impossible to understand or monitor such models. And without understanding and monitoring, how will we know when things go wrong?
