Technical Manager in an interdisciplinary decarbonization project with stakeholders from different companies and nationalities.

This position is located in the R&D department in the Engineering Programmes group, and acts as the main interface between R&D and Assembly-/Test-/Service teams.Tasks and responsibilities:- Create, maintain and execute plans to validate service elements in the product development roadmap.- Maintain risk and opportunity register.- Reporting of progress on all test activities.- Support, schedule and execute tests related to New Part Qualification and Cost Excellence activities.- Technical support towards test and assembly.- Conduct improvement to continuously reduce the standard production cost.- Support after launch of new engines.

Employed in the Service Engineering department in Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG - Bergen Engines AS which mainly focuses on upgrades and rebuilds of engines in the field.- Design and specification of upgrades and reconstructions for medium speed gas and diesel engines.- 3D modelling, drawing creation, BOM creation and writing of procedures and instructions.- Test and validation of new concepts and designs. - Development of new upgrades for Bergen Engines upgrade portfolio, in addition to handling customer specific requests.- Creation of offers/quotations in cooperation with aftermarket sales.- Technical discussions with suppliers.

Employed in the R&D department in Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG - Bergen Engines AS.- Mechanical design and specification of components and systems for medium speed gas and diesel engines.- Responsible for design of electrical engine turning devices, pneumatically driven start motors, expansion joints, flywheels and hydraulic pre-tensioning tools for critical bolted connections.- Involved in both development of new engine platforms and sustaining engineering.- Preparation and follow-up of experimental program for testing and validation of prototypes.- Handling of NCR's, concession requests and FAI reports from internal and external production.- Main point of contact at R&D for suppliers of components within my responsibility.
