Marius Øgaard, holds a BSc (Honours) degree in Electronic Communication from the University of Salford (UK), and has completed the International Executive Programme at INSEAD (France/Singapore). His professional experience is based on a solid background from the aerospace and telecom industries. He spent 15 years in R&D, developing advanced systems and services for satellite- and aircraft communications. He built and led a digital communications R&D lab for 5 years before moving into business development. He is highly experienced within sales and development of new markets, and has led business development efforts in Europe, Asia/Pacific, Middle East, and North-, and South America.In 2010 he joined Oslo Science Park as Director of Innovation, responsible for entrepreneurship and industry cluster development. Here he developed various entrepreneurship programmes, and Norway’s largest science and innovation event - the Cutting Edge Festival. He also founded and led The Life Science Cluster (TLSC) – a major association of industry and public organizations from across Norway’s bioeconomy sectors. At TLSC he initiated the establishment of ShareLab – a business incubator and lab for bio-based startups – which he then joined. Since its inauguration in 2018, Marius has been a Partner at ShareLab, responsible for its services and infrastructure as well as supporting its startup company members.
