MTN Technical Product Development, Software Development, OSS/BSS Solution Architect, Operational Visibility Enablement Program (OVEP) Domain leadI have end-to-end planning, development, and implementation knowledge of large-scale software engineering, data science, and engineering projects. Within a few weeks, I identified that a lack of service and resource inventory caused major inefficiencies in the service assurance flow. As a precursor to the start of the conceptualized OVEP program, I initiated the delivery of a custom-developed inventory system called “Unity” to discover service-bearing network entities, topology, and planning data into a searchable self-updating object model. With the inventory keystone in place, the OVEP program delivered a dedicated on-premise Splunk + ITSI environment in 2 phases with integrations into a multitude of systems and data sources. T-SNAP is a telecommunications network access device which includes a plurality of ports that can each receive an interface from a telecommunications device, the device operating in terms of an associated protocol and being arranged to transmit data in a format associated with the protocol. A translator for converting the data into a format suitable for a telecommunications device or communications network that the network access device is connected to, the conversion of data being dynamically configurable. This entailed, building test environments, in-domain scenario capturing with SME for each NMS/EMS technology, IBM Tivoli Netcool rules file development, IBM Tivoli Impact policy development, Technical Documentation, Testing and Training to NOC staff members to adopt the newly adopted technology into operations.

Several job functions were fulfilled during this period while working for several sections in Telkom as a student during vacations. My most enjoyable experience was at the switching and planning section in Braamfontein.
