My passion is to make computer technology accessible to everyone. I love deploying systems that people find useful and that unlock new ways for them to interact with information. In 'Jobs to be done' terminology, these are the 'little hires' that really improve people's lives.I started my professional life as an Electronic Engineer and loved solving the complexity of working with digital electronics. I soon found that I had even more passion for computers, computer networks and information technology. I've been fortunate to gather a broad range of experience with hardware and software systems over the last 25 years. It was facilitated by roles such as Systems Administrator, Web Developer and Management Consultant which allowed me to build diverse skills in working with people, computers, network architecture, software development and Internet technologies.In 2007 I made a career change and started working with learning management systems. Today I am grateful to be working with many of the largest companies in South Africa and many in Africa, and to engage on a global scale around Talent Development and Performance Management. My responsibilities include consulting, systems implementation, data integration, data analytics and solving complexity.I still feel hugely fulfilled by and fortunate to be able to work with complex systems, but more so making information technology available to those whose lives it can improve.
