Main duty is administration of Redhat and Suse servers located in Dusseldorf, Germany which run applications for Metro Group (Metro CC, Real, Media Markt and Saturn stores).Main duties and responsibilities:- Installing and configuring Linux operating system- Implementing and configuring virtualized solutions- Redhat and Suse server deployment- Preparing and optimizing servers for SAP implementation- Managing Vmware virtual machines, creation-migration-scaling-clustering- Automating User and Filesystem creation/administration for SAP install- Managing servers via Redhat and Suse satellite - Performing regular operating system updates- Monitoring cluster software- Working with GPFS clusters- Investigating and resolving operating system, cluster incidents/malfunctions- Implementation of Automation tools on physical and virtual servers- Oncall duty anytime needed
