With +15 years experience in the mining industry, I am a highly skilled chemical engineer specialising in the extraction and processing of Copper, Zinc, REE, Cobalt, PGMs and base metals. My experience extends across mineral processing and hydrometallurgy, supported by a balanced combination of operational and design experience.Throughout my career, I have demonstrated proficiency in leading engineering studies from Conceptual to Definitive Feasibility Studies (DFS) stage and project execution. I excel at defining and implementing solutions-based offerings to meet client project objectives.My leadership abilities have played a key role in cultivating strong client relationships and effectively managing project teams, ensuring collaborative efforts and successful project outcomes. In mineral processing, my career highlights include the installation of a 4Mtpa SAG mill for a Cu/Co concentrator, to various green and brownfields flotation circuit installations. Major hydrometallurgical projects include design, execute and commissioning of a 300ktpa Copper Leach-SX-EW and Cobalt hydroxide refinery, as well as a REE caustic cracking plant.I have hands-on experience in every aspect of the process design spectrum, thus ensuring technical assurance of deliverables. These include, planning and conducting metallurgical process development testwork campaigns, compiling plant-wide mass balances, drafting of BFD, PFD, and P&IDs. I have extensive experience with drafting control philosophies and equipment functional specifications and have contributed to HAZOPs and project risk assesments during design reviews.
