As the Accounting & HR Manager, I currently hold an all-encompassing role including responsibilities from all previous roles since 2011, alongside significant responsibility for both accounting and human resources management.My Areas of Proven Performance include:- Serving as a central and accessible point of contact to all employees, while playing a key role in the hiring, recruitment, and onboarding of new talent as required. - Completing accounting tasks including (but not limited to) audit and management of domestic carrier payables, office payables, insurance, and all vendor invoices.- Managing time-sensitive tasks associated with facilitating ocean and air export operations through the creation of bookings, completion of documentation, and active communication with staff. - Exercising sharp attention to detail in the preparation of spreadsheets, completion of internal audits, monitoring of financial data, assessment of vendor contracts, and resolution of cargo claims.- Representing key aspects of the business toward its ownership, as an Executive Communicator and a source of insight on the operation. - Negotiating and managing contracts for freight forwarding vendors, airline carriers, internal office supplies, cargo insurance, IT, and other vendors. I maintain strong knowledge of the terms of each agreement to keep vendors accountable- Upholding the company’s adherence to all pertinent laws, rules, and regulations governing freight forwarding, including the TSA, Federal Maritime Commission, and other global regulators.- Overseeing processes to plan, budget, staff, execute and deliver on projects including an internal system rollout, numerous continuous improvement/automation projects, and annual gatherings including staff, vendors, and customers.

After a strong performance in my previous role, I earned a self-directed role with responsibility for air and ocean export activities, customer invoicing, and the issuance of payment to carriers and vendors. In addition, I also retained ocean export duties from my previous role. Among my accomplishments in this role, I:- Spearheaded the acceleration and optimization of accounting processes, resulting in broad oversight of the accounting function.

I was promoted as the Ocean Export Agent from my previous role, facilitating the ocean export process for the company’s global clients, with responsibilities including (but not limited to) the creation of supplier bookings, forwarding of pertinent information, preparation and transmission of all required documentation, and management of a 4-week ocean vessel schedule.
