Marjan Keypour is a human rights activist and advocate for women and minorities in Iran. She is the Founder and Director of the Alliance for Rights of All Minorities (ARAM), an international network of activists which promotes equal rights for all citizens in Iran; and StopFemicideIran, the first interactive map documenting acts of Femicide in Iran and memorializing the victims.Marjan is a non-resident scholar at the Middle East Institute (MEI). She was also appointed to the Atlantic Council’s new Iran Strategy Project, which examines the developments in Iran through a holistic multidisciplinary approach. Marjan is the co-chair of the Anti-Defamation League’s (ADL)Task Force on Middle East Minorities. Previously, she served the ADL as Associate Director for seven years when she managed civil rights initiatives in Southern California. In an effort to shed light on Iran’s restrictions on artists, Marjan co-produced HOMANITY, the first-of-its-kind compilation album featuring the music of banned and underground artists from Iran.Marjan serves on the boards of the National Union for Democracy in Iran, NUFDI and the Iranian American Jewish Federation (IAJF). Her writings have appeared in AP, Fox, Ms. Magazine, National Interest, NBC, and Newsweek, and Rolling Stone, among others. She is a frequent guest on Persian language media including Iran International, Manoto TV, and Voice of America Persian.
