In my function I am responsible for the recruitment of eligible subjects for clinical trials. I determine the recruitment feasibility and advice on timelines for current and future clinical trials. Risks are identified prior and during the study and I make a contingency plan to reduce these risks. Ongoing trials are closely monitored by me and reports are written to all stakeholders. I develop and review trial documents prior to CTA submission. In my function I closely collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

I developed a business case for a nutritional intervention in brain injured patients. Here, I performed systematic literature searches to find sufficient scientific knowledge. This information was used to perform a business analysis on this subject.

During my studies I worked for QPS geneesmiddelenonderzoek as a recruitment employee. I screened the volunteer and when eligible, I made an appointment for a medical screening. I learned to communicate with volunteers, but also with doctors who made the medical decisions. I got the opportunity to learn more about clinical research during my work-period at QPS.

I performed preclinical research to test the protective effect of non-digestible carbohydrates (NDCs) on the intestinal barrier. NDCs were investigated to find potential future use in infant formula milk.
