As the head Lifesciences in the NWO domain Science I am a member of the domain's management team. Together with the teamleader Lifesciences I lead the team that is responsible and highly motivated to optimally facilitate the Dutch Lifesciences field. We aim to organise fair and transparant peer review procedures, but also aim to give strong support to this sector's self-organisation. Therefore we organise meetings and give policy advise. In addition, I have a role in the following advisory-boards and asssembly's: TKI T&U, EMBL contact committee, Stichting BWM, LifeWatch, ESFRI Strategic Working Group Environment.

https://www.esfri.eu/working-groups/environmentAs a member of the ESFRI strategic working group environment, since 2020, I am the official Dutch delegate to this European strategic working group on Environmental Large Scientific Infrastructures. Being a member of this group I get the opportunity to learn about the EU position on the value of Large Scientific Infrastructures and general developments at the policy-science interface at the EC and the individual member states. My latest assigned task was the monitoring of the ESFRI Landmark EPOS. I was asked to be the chair of the monitoring panel.

Responsible for performing transparant en good funding procedures as for the innovational research inventive scheme (Veni, Vidi). Policy Development. Development of new public private partnerships and programmes for the innovation contract. Secretary to the Roadmapteam Advanced Instrumentation. Development of interdisciplinary Dutch Materials Research strategic plan.

Policy Officer for the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), the Dutch Research Council. Within the department Policy Development I was part of the team that was responsible for the NWO institutes, being ASTRON, CWI, FOM-AMOLF, FOM-Nikhef, FOM-Rijnhuizen (became DIFFER), NIOZ, NSCR, and SRON. Policy themes: valorisation, impact/knowledge utilisation, topsectors.

As a Project Officer at EDCTP I was responsible for managing the review of research applications and monitoring of approved projects. In addition I was involved in the development of new procedures, forms and guidelines, I helped developing and maintaining the general Access database and participated in the Organising- and Programme committees of the EDCTP Forums in Ouagadougou - Burkina Faso in 2007 and in Arusha - Tanzania in 2009.
