Condor H2 was the largest European project for zero-emission shipping initiated by Port of Rotterdam and Province of Zuid Holland as part of the RH2INE initiative. Rabobank and WaterstofNet joined as steering group partners.The core project goal is to remove major hurdles inland shipowners encounter when switching to hydrogen-electric ships before 2030 to achieve operational, technical and financial feasibility of zero-emission H2 ships before 2035.Over 45 other consortium partners from several EU countries are now collaborating in this project on standardisation, regulation, finance, insetting and other work packages.The project transformed to Condor Zero Emission Shipping in September 2024. Marjon handed it over to a colleague before her trip to Eastern Africa.

Darel Education is a non-profit initiative to create social support for the energy transition. We offer a fully catered Energy Transition Masterclass for a modest reimbursement of expenses, in which students get an overview of this complex challenge, the dilemmas and possible solutions.

Future Proof Shipping BV aims to accelerate the transition to a zero-emission maritime sector ahead of the industry targets to make the industry free of fossil-fuels and harmful emissions faster. Being responsible for business development connected companies in the value chain that are willing to partner with FPS to start zero-emission shipping projects. Also created consortia for subsidy applications, such as the R&D project SH2IPDRIVE and RH2INE Kickstart IWT, which aims to develop hydrogen demand and infrastructure along the Rhine corridor.

Vanilla point imports organically grown vanilla directly from small Ugandan family farms, selling in the Netherlands via Vanillapoint.nl and bol.com.Supported the company with the creation of business plans and trade channels.

The Green Elephant grows Elephant Grass in Uganda and performs research into the most efficient growing and biorefinery methods to create value added protein, minerals, organic fertiliser and fiber products. Applications can be plant based protein for human consumption, animal feed, agriculture, biodegradable packaging, construction applications and bio-fuels.

• Founder of the first professional international mobility company in Uganda offering relocation, immigration and other expat services and supports companies and NGOs to register and set-up business in-country. • Established the business and standard processes for the operations, contracted 5 corporate clients within the first year.• Transferred operational management due to move to the Netherlands. Shareholder until 2022.

Supply Chain Manager Europe at Avery Dennison -Industrial and Healthcare Materials (IHM)Responsible for the full supply chain and plant logistics for the Business Units Performance Tapes and Vancive Medical. Areas included the S&OP process for the three BUs, production planning, raw material planning, goods reception, shipping, external warehousing, sample department, transportation, coordination of product transfers regionally and globally.

As the co-founder and managing director of the consulting firm Equate (U) ltd. performed all business development & tendering, managed projects with several private companies and development agencies in sub-Sahara Africa with consultant teams. Also worked as independent consultant for selected clients on projects for donors such as DFID, UNICEF, WFP, Belgium Technical Cooperation.A selection of the projects executed can be found under the projects section.

As General Manager (2010-2011) and Managing Director (2021-2013) successfully directed the African office of International Procurement Agency (IPA) Group, a global service provider headquartered in the Netherlands providing services as procurement agent, in trade, procurement auditing and procurement/logistic consulting. Key responsibilities and achievements:• Developed and managed all aspects of the business in Africa, mainly procurement agency and consulting, leading to a growth from yearly revenue of USD 100,000 to USD 2 Million in two years.• Procured locally, regionally and internationally, mainly from Europe and Asia, and supplied to numerous countries such as South Sudan, Ethiopia, DRC, Burundi, Malawi, Zambia, Senegal, Sierra Leone by tendering, negotiating and coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders and clients. Key clients were DFID, Malaria Consortium and CORDAID.• Ensured financial and legal compliance in Uganda and the countries IPA Africa worked in, such as Sierra Leone, Malawi, and South Sudan.A selection of the consulting projects managed can be found under the projects section.

On a short term contract managed the logistics of UNICEF, the UN Agency promoting the rights and wellbeing of children. Key responsibilities and achievements:• Daily management of warehouses, Logistic Service Providers and order processes in Uganda. Improved the data accuracy of the warehousing system.• Managed the tendering process of Logistic Service Providers for Uganda and South Sudan.• Coordinated processes and communication between procurement, supply chain, and programme departments and improved internal processes.• Supervised consultants executing bednet distributions, and represented UNICEF in the meetings with Uganda Ministry of Health and other agencies in the Global Fund Round 7 mosquito net campaign for distribution of 17 million mosquito nets in 31 districts of Uganda.

As the site manager of the Distribution Centre (DC) Barcelona for Roll Materials Europe (RME) led the production site with +/- 35 staff members. The site served all clients in Spain and Portugal with 100 Million Euro worth of products yearly and had an annual budget of +/-2.5 Million Euro in operational expenses. Key responsibilities and achievements:• Turned the production site around from worst European performer to top-performer among the 9 DCs for all Key Performance Indicators (KPI), such as financial control, costs per SQM, quality, maintenance, service levels and safety.• Implemented 24-48-hour service levels for the fast-moving products across Iberia.• From 2008 implemented Enterprise Lean Sigma in the DC, which transformed the DC into the European Learning Centre for Lean Manufacturing culture and working methods by 2009.

Assumed several interim supply chain management roles in the European SCM organization• Member of several European projects, with a focus on Inventory Management, reporting and data analysis. Setting up new reports for inventory management for all 16 European sites.• Responsible for service maintenance and improvement in the region Eastern Europe and International South (North Africa, Middle East, Turkey, Israel)• Managed several European supply chain projects improving service to European customers with a focus on Eastern Europe and non-EU areas.• From October 2005 focused on drastic service improvement to Iberia, based in Spain.

As a junior consultant (2000-2002) and consultant (2002-2003) at KPMG Consulting, acquired a strong base in consulting skills, such as business development, client reporting and presentation, service orientation, data analysis and process mapping.
