The vFAS is an association of lawyers specialized in (international) family and inheritance law. The members of the vFAS are also trained to become divorce mediators.A divorce mediator assists clients in jointly arranging the consequences of a (marital) divorce, even when the divorcing partners are not yet in agreement on the terms of the settlement.The vFAS maintains strict admission requirements. As a lawyer, you can only become a member after having at least five years of experience as a lawyer and successfully completing a three-year training program to become a lawyer-divorce mediator. This program includes both legal specialization and mediation specialization.To maintain membership, I must meet high standards and continuously engage in professional development.
