I started the florist with my sister who was a floral designer. I continued to work for Jasper Electric Service for a year. I soon became sole owner. I went to Houston School of Floral Design, 3 nights weekly, I graduated in Advance Floral Design, and Advance Wedding Design. While hiring employees to help operate the business. Due to the people I knew in my Industrial sales, great advertising, and I also joined the Chamber of Commence. My business grew from new business to a well established Florist. I had never worked so hard and so many hours per week in my life. It was time to sale! My best friend is a Realtor, she sold it for me without even putting it on the market.

I worked from my home office in Beaumont, Texas. I sold Jasper Electric services,( repairing of major industrial size motors), and selling new Industrial size motors,controls, etc.. to Beaumont, Port Arthur, & Orange's Industrial markets. I established yearly contracts with major industrial plants, Mobil Oil, Mobil Chemical, Chevron, Huntsman, Goodyear Tire & Rubber, and North Star Steel( a Cargill Company) and many others. I worked with Purchasing Agents, Engineers, and Maintenance. I was the first woman to be in the Industrial Motor Sales and Repair business in the entire South East Texas area.

Responsibility for representing electric motor sales and repair service for the east Texas area.I applied my insurance sales experience and my personality in dealing with manufacturing businesses and corporation personnel. I was promoted to sales manger. I hired and managed 2 sales persons.

3 years of health and life Insurance sales. making cold calls and scheduling meetings with individuals and business's. I received numerous awards and recognition for meeting or exceeding sales goals and targets. I was awarded as a sales goal a trip to Europe, which for this company was the first time a woman had received this award. I was promoted to sales manager, had to moved to different location and hire new team of sales people.
