Marjorie is a Virginia Tech graduate in mechanical engineering with more than 40 years of experience in commercial and institutional building HVAC engineering design. She is a Professional Engineer and the owner of mjDavidson Consulting which was founded in 2010. She has more than thirty years of experience being in responsible charge of projects from its initial stages to commissioning and final construction administration. mjDavidson Consulting works on projects with clients such as Siemens Industry - Building Technologies Division - Energy and Environmental Solutions on projects such as the VMFA - Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Has worked with Jerry Jolley PE , Gordon Wells PE on Richmond Public School and Henrico County projects. Has also worked with Mechanical Solutions LLC on a U of R project through Capstone Contracting Company and recently with companies such as ECC Energy Control Company and Honeywell on Base Building Core upgrades to main mechanical heating and cooling systems. Currently experience includes integrated mechanical design, specializing in the HVAC design for commercial and institutional buildings including coordinating with electrical and plumbing disciplines. This experience involves cost estimates, evaluating existing buildings, familiarity with local and national codes, energy modeling for LEED accreditation. She, as part of a team, coordinate and build working relationships with clients to provide them with confidence in the integration of a quality mechanical system for their buildings.
