On my 16th birthday, which happened to fall on a Saturday during a school dance, I celebrated the occasion. However, by the following Monday, I was already on the hunt for an after-school job. That Saturday, I interviewed for a hostess position at Red Lobster and was immediately offered the job, which I began the following Wednesday. In just a week and a half, I secured my first official job. I gave myself a two-week timeframe because I was determined not to be deterred by obstacles such as reality and the possibility that things might not go exactly as planned (oh, the innocence of youth).During my teenage years, I worked in various industries, all within the customer service realm, as I thoroughly enjoyed connecting with and assisting people. While working one of these jobs, we had a company trainer come in to shadow us for a couple of days and provide self-evaluations. When asked about my personality type, I immediately responded with "Type A," and the trainer smiled and quickly agreed. It was in that moment that I realized I embodied the cliché of a "hardworking, multitasking, goal-oriented go-getter." This is not meant as a brag, but rather a genuine reflection of who I am.I firmly believe in setting goals and working hard to achieve them. I have a strong work ethic, and when faced with problems, I strive to find solutions and help others to the best of my abilities. If I don't have an answer, I leverage my resources to find one. In my current role as a truck dispatcher, I apply these beliefs and skills that I have developed over the years to assist my drivers and customers. I ensure that companies have the freight and supplies they need, precisely when they need them, and that my drivers meet their goals as well.Helping people brings me joy, and I am now open and ready for the next challenge.
