Merchandise Executive

Slough, United Kingdom

RB’s health, home and hygiene brands are sold in nearly 200 countries globally. Based in Slough, I have been hired to project manage the implementation and launch of a new high tech virtual reality offering, in collaboration with technology partners JDA, 5th Dimension and Brandbank. I liaise with our Global Team, the Merchandise Managers and Buyers, to support and advise on a variety of Reckitt’s product ranges. This project is aimed at creating and maintaining a full image and product library which is then converted into a virtual 3D environment to present to our retailer customers as well as internal presentations. Achievements: - I designed and created virtual planograms across the air care, healthcare and household goods categories for use by the key Merchandise and Buying Managers within the larger retailers (Tesco, Morrison, Sainsbury’s and Asda). - Spent time in each of these retailers’ major/flagship stores, to assist each of these retailers with product merchandising, demonstrating practical placement and display building for retailer sign-off.Created and maintained a product and image database of over 5,000 products, which is the first of its kind within Reckitt Benckiser’s Global business. - This project will lead the way in making the company a market leader in the use of 3D imaging in product ranging, and has so far saved over £100K for the business, and ensured that the intellectual property of the imaging remains in-house. - Managed the introduction and implementation of new Virtual Merchandising software to the UK business to enhance retailer engagement. With high resolution planogram images, 3D store fly-throughs and 3D merchandising, Reckitt Benckiser is one of the first suppliers in the UK to have this software.
