This experience has touched on a variety of matters, including: • Advising downstream and upstream clients in a variety of restructuring and bankruptcy scenarios, including: (i) sale of refining assets; (ii) in and out of court restructuring of hundreds of millions of dollars in debt; (iii) addressing treatment of millions of dollars in environmental liabilities in bankruptcy; (iv) addressing a variety of contractual disputes. • Providing upstream and midstream clients counsel during emergencies, including: (i) pipeline ruptures involving release of hydrocarbons in amounts as high as 2,000 barrels to over 3,800 barrels; (ii) litigation and regulatory investigations (both civil and criminal) associated with a variety environmental releases; and (iii) issues arising from named storms in the Gulf of Mexico. • Providing advice in connection with downstream activities, such as marketing and advertising associated with sale of aviation, marine, industrial, commercial and consumer lubricants, addressing product quality issues arising from use of various petroleum products, drafting of agreements involving the purchase and sale of various hydrocarbon products, supporting the legal needs of various refineries on the east and gulf coasts, including addressing environmental, labor and employment and regulatory matters. • Advising chemical industry clients in connection with the purchase and sale of chemical products and supporting the needs of chemical, plastic, polyolefin and other chemical facilities. • Drafting of agreements involving the supply of natural gas to industrial facilities. • Drafting of supply and product testing agreements involving industrial products used in wind turbines. • Advising on projects involving the manufacture of bio-jet and other renewable products.
