Included creation of business model, product roadmap and sales plan, financial plan/budget, capital structure, banking arrangements, setup and staffing of departments, system/technology setup, and setup of processes.Staples – Restructured and led sales finance function in billion dollar region. Restructured six divisional sales finance teams into company’s first centralized model, implemented first centralized pricing strategy, Built/implemented centralized systems and standardized processes. Assisted North American headquarters with adopting and rolling out this new model company-wide.Lawson Software – Restructured central billing department to address ubiquitous problems with late/inaccurate invoicing, systems, staffing, and processes. Eliminated invoicing issues via new technology, new processes, staffing additions/changes, and measurable production/quality metrics.Lawson Software – Led international acquisition for Accounting and Finance. Set up processes, hired staff, implemented Oracle Financials system, established capital requirements and banking structure.First American Corp. – Restructured Accounting/Finance functions, Interim Controller. Successfully resolved significant issues with balance sheet, systems, processes, personnel, financial data accuracy, slow close (cut close in half), and late collections. Relocated financial reporting function from TX to MN.First American Corp. – Led restructure and redeployment of failing internal division's resources into a growing, complimentary business area. Led execution of restructuring activities including changes to processes, personnel and systems.Visa, US Bank and TSYS – Restructured/repaired multi-company financial settlement process.
