Artery Studios is a visual production studio specializing in medical illustrations and animations for the personal injury litigation and medical device markets.As Director of Business Operations, I worked alongside the President/Founder to set the overall strategic direction and operational goals of the company and was responsible for organizational and team leadership to deliver internal services in the areas of financial planning, analysis and reporting, client services, human resources, IT, and project management.

Abraham Consulting was an independent consultancy offering management consulting services to educational and healthcare clients.- Identified needs, prepared business cases, and made recommendations relating to process improvement, technology solutions, capital equipment needs, and organizational planning - Developed grant applications to gain project funding - Prepared key documents including budgets, annual reports, and accreditation reports- Performed competitive analysis to support the creation of a leadership development program in conjunction with Group Integra Consulting and the University of Manitoba

The Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) is a post-secondary education institution offering undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education programs in the field of chiropractic.- Responsibilities broadly consisted of analysis and coordination of institution-wide projects not otherwise in the scope of another division including measurement of organizational effectiveness, strategic planning, accreditation, and capital planning.- Successfully managed institution-wide effort to gain government consent to offer a degree through the PEQAB accreditation process- Broadly represented interests of institution as a voting member of academic affairs, alumni affairs, and student services committees- Acted as internal consultant to assist management in the development and implementation of department level performance indicators, including conducting training workshops, and one-on-one meetings- Coordinated and authored accreditation and governance reports

Vizible (since purchased by OpenText) is a content management system developer with a focus on delivering content through unique and engaging user interfaces.- Developed product positioning strategies through analysis of target markets and competitive space- Prepared client proposals and assisted clients in leveraging Vizible software to develop enterprise specific solutions- Authored corporate business plan, assisting in raising of over $1,000,000 in investment capital

MD Robotics designs and manufactures space robotics and is best known for developing the space shuttle remote manipulator system, or Canadarm. - Developed a camera based, object tracking system for use in on-orbit applications- Developed software using C and C++ in both Windows and Unix environments - Established and implemented new algorithm using advanced mathematical techniques to improve previous system performance by over 1000%- Customized project management processes for R&D department - Nominated for MD Robotics Innovation Award- Authored/co-authored three academic papers published in industry journals
