Responsible for providing quality assurance to internal and external groups working with Lilly in the medical and research areas. This includes but is not limited to providing consulting, education, and auditing services to these organizations. Most recently I worked with Lilly’s Discovery area to develop components of a quality plan, including the development of Good Research Practices (GRP), as well as an assessment process for use in evaluating third parties. Other responsibilities include serving as the point person for security and IT initiatives in Research Quality Assurance, including computer system validation. Responsible for all aspects of security at RealMed, a real-time claims processing company. Specific responsibilities include serving as HIPAA compliance officer for RealMed (security, privacy, transaction/ code sets, and identifiers), setting and insuring compliance with corporate information security policy, setting and ensuring compliance with physical security policy, coordinating security architecture with the information technology (IT) organization, conducting training on information security and HIPAA regulations, and serving as security liaison with RealMed’s customers. Initiated and managed RealMed’s effort to gain Healthcare Network Accreditation through the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC), an accreditation held by only nine companies nationally at the time.

Managed Hanover’s Career Planning and Placement Office and its processes. In 1979 during academic reaccreditation, this office was named as the most improved office in the Student Affairs area.
