My primary focus was the development of new business as well as maintaining and gaining additional business from existing customers. I was able to develop new customers through prospecting and working trade shows. I was also responsible for training customers on new programs and procedures that would promote a smooth flow of business with our inside staff.. I helped design training programs for our broker customers on specific loan products. I also trained my customers on our Internet based underwriting engine and business management utility.

I was responsible for hiring and training of new employees, marketing for new business through the use of direct mail, Internet advertising, radio and print media, and originating my own business as well. I was the primary contact for my customers throughout their loan process and took care of structuring and processing their loans. This requires a good working relationship with lenders, title companies, and appraisers. I took care of the company Intranet and Internet operations.

I was employed at Action Express in the Human Resources/Safety Department. My responsibilities included interviewing and hiring drivers for each of the four different divisions, administering benefits and assisting with new driver orientation. I also researched and adjusted the compensation packages for the drivers to ensure that they were competitive with market standards as well as working to develop a driver retention program. Before taking the Human Resources position, I was an Inside Sales Representative and then was promoted to Outside Sales. I was responsible for maintaining existing accounts, acquiring additional business from present accounts and garnering new business. In addition to my sales responsibilities, I created a new rate structure as a result of competitive pressures, quoted prices for loads, and developed a fuel surcharge to offset the increasing fuel costs
