Currently, I am assigned to two research projects funded by our university's internationalization program. The first project focuses on the development of an IoT-based Monitoring System for Domestic Water Sources, where I serve as the Co-Study Leader. My responsibilities include conducting prior art searches for existing IoT-based water quality monitoring systems and developing this device for field v w5w6jmplementation.The second project involves "Screenhouse-based High-Throughput Phenotyping (HTP) for the Development of Climate-Resilient Root Crops," where I am designated as a Project Staff member. In this project, I am responsible for setting up sensors and the Arduino Microcontroller for data gathering.In addition to these projects, I also serve as a research advisor to students working on IoT-related topics. The experiences gained from these endeavors fuel my passion for IoT and instill in me the confidence to seize further opportunities in this field.Throughout my college years, I was a consistent scholar of the highly competitive Department of Science and Technology Science Educational Institute (DOST-SEI) scholarship and maintained the spot of being a President's honor every year. During my fourth year in college, I was given the chance to be part of the Short-Term Exchange Program to one of the universities in Japan and at the same time, awarded a Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) scholarship. There, I learned a lot about mechanical systems engineering. Not only that, I was also awarded (together with my teammates) as the Tokyo Regional Qualifier for the Hult Prize Business Competition. Afterwards, I returned to my home university where I finished my degree with flying colors. I was hailed as the 2020 VSU class valedictorian and earned the title of Magna Cum Laude. Right after my graduation, I worked as an instructor at my home university and at the same time, prepared for my licensure examination for Mechanical Engineers. Without a doubt, I was declared as the 1st Placer of that said national examination. Just recently, I was also privileged enough to participate in an international training in Indonesia and won the Best Project Idea for prototyping an IoT device. All these achievements give me huge confidence that I am one of the outstanding candidates for this program.
