Recently promoted to this position I work with clients of Housing Works and other non profit organizations that may have a linkage with the Second Life Job training program, and are enrolled in our Job Training Program. Our clients have very diverse backgrounds amd come from different walks of life. Through counseling I help them hone their skills, work on their weaknesses and work closely with their work supervisors and case management team to ensure that these clients are fully prepared to take on full time work. Also help them develop their continued education plan and goals. Conduct case conferences as well. I teach a Language Arts Class where students learn grammar and business writing , as well as email etiquette, and how to write essays, and various literature and poetry for discussion. I also teach 2 different Career Labs where students develop resumes, practice interviewing skills so that students can interview for a position to train/track while receiving a stipend for services rendered. Students learn how to maneuver through having classes and having to work at various worksites and the structure of employment.

I taught 3 core classes pertinet for clients, referred to as trainees who are enrolled in the Second Life Job Training Program. These classes help trainees develop their work skills by adressing their self esteem, ego and ego transactions taught from Dr. Eric Berne's Theory of Personality. They are also taught critical thinking skills concepts and chronic illnesses. Also provide counseling to help trainees adress issues thst might hinder them from moving to the vocational (on the job training) phase of the program. Work closely with trainees case management team to help keep trainees engages not only innthe program but with their mental health providers and primary care providers

Interned here as a Guidance Counselor Assistant/ classroom pushin to help students that were in the Special Education class.

Worked with incoming freshman students that werr accepted to the HEOP program, to help them become acclimated to college life and maintain their GPA so they coukd remain in the HEOP program. Helped make referrals to various departments thst woukd help students attending. Also worked with the English Professor to help incoming students buold their writing, reading and studying habits.
