I am an experienced practitioner with over a decade's experience at post 16 level. In my role as Associate Director of Sixth I worked across several competencies including; recruitment, behaviour, academic intervention and management of the student body as well as tutor team. Taking the lead on Y12/Y13 meant I specialised in managing the transition from GCSE to A-level for students across the academic spectrum, shaping curriculum and oversaw apprenticeship and UCAS applications inclusive of Oxbridge preparation.For the new academic year I have taken on Secondary based role, managing the school's internal exclusion provision. Having worked predominately with post 16, I am eager to tackle the challenge of working with younger students in an attempt to reduce the recidivism that plagues many of our most vulnerable students. In managing the Student Support Hub, I will introduce measures to more effectively deal with issues around well being and belonging which are often significant barriers to learning. It is my hope that an increased collaborative and holistic approach will improve the chances of all the young people who access this space in becoming the best versions of themselves.
