Reports to the T&L ESS Manager Relevant PSM industry-related experience, such as the petroleum refining, petrochemical and/or midstream industries, is required in areas such as operations, maintenance, engineering, technical services, environmental or safety. Responsibilities:1. Develop and maintain internal PSM management system programs through company-wide process safety standards.2. Develop and execute an annual process safety improvement plan in collaboration with MPC Refining, Transportation & Logistics, and other affected staff organizations.3. Collect and compile company process safety event (PSE) metrics for stakeholder communication and reporting.4. Provide periodic updates to Management and HES&S Leadership on MPC process safety performance.5. Support preparation of an annual Health, Environment, Safety & Security Review.6. Monitor, review, and interpret U.S. process safety legislative and regulatory changes, such as OSHA’s PSM standard (29 CFR 1910.119), EPA’s RMP regulation (40 CFR 68 Subpart D), etc.7. Track industry initiatives, such as CCPS risk-based process safety, API standards, ACC Responsible Care® Process Safety Code, etc. towards inclusion in MPC management systems to advance continual improvement.8. Provide other general PSM support (e.g., guidance, audit support, etc.) as requested by MPC organizations and components.9. Represent MPC through trade association participation to enhance communication and information exchange among industry peers.10. Periodically participate in Corporate HES&S audits and third-party vetting activities.11. Support MPC Corporate HES&S Core Value initiatives and activities.12. Other projects and work assignments as directed by the Safety Supervisor.
