To provide vibration analysis, in-situ balancing, laser alignments, thermography and a number of mechanical installation services to Statewide Bearing clients.

Primarily engaged to fulfill the vibration condition monitoring contract held by Schaeffler Australia at Incitec Pivot’s fertilizer mining/processing plant at Phosphate Hill (south of Mt.Isa). The role involved provide vibration analysis, in-situ balancing, laser alignments as well as maintaining the six CSI 4500 on-line vibration monitoring systems. The role also included working with maintenance engineers and planners to maximize plant availability and timely maintenance.

Primarily engaged as a ‘sandwich’ student whist studying for an Engineering degree and then finally as a full time employee after the completion of the course.Work performed included> Strain and vibration tests on fans and bag-house shakers> Aerodynamic modeling and testing of fans and bag-houses.> Testing of duct lagging systems and in-duct silencers.> Data processing of data logged bag-house test cells.> Sizing, and tendering preparations of bag-houses.
