Mark Asuncion is a PR professional with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, specializing in Public Relations at De La Salle University Dasmarinas. He currently is the PR Head of Gulaman Entertainment, where he also directs films, with several of his works like Evie (2022), Mula Sa Retaso (2020), and Oven (2021) gained international recognition in the United Kingdom, Georgia, and Mexico.Outside Gulaman, Mark is a PR Accounts Executive at Ardent Communications and serves as the Public Image Director for Rotaract Bacoor. His expertise spans a wide range of areas, including event planning, social media marketing, media production, broadcast journalism, and film direction, having previously worked as a Broadcast Journalist at DLSU-D Green FM. Driven by a passion for both creative and strategic communication, Mark is committed to working on projects that advocate for the rights of artists and the LGBTQ+ community in the Philippines and beyond.For his internship, Mark contributed to the global VOICE project of Hivos and Oxfam Novib from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, utilizing design, strategic communications, and providing support for events aimed at amplifying the stories of marginalized communities in the Philippines.His experience as a broadcast journalist at DLSU-D GREEN FM enabled him to develop his skills in broadcast journalism, where he hosted shows, wrote feature articles, and did voiceovers.Additionally, his time at Brand Jester Events refined his abilities in logistical support, visual design, and event management, as he participated in significant events in the Philippines, such as Bench Fashion Week 2023, the Market Market BGC Halloween PR Stunt 2023, and the 74th Session of the World Health Organization Regional Committee for the Western Pacific.
