Mark Atherton has been in the Industry for over 35 years. A Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments, his formative years were in The City, advisory stockbroking, followed by a seven year spell at the original Albert E Sharp in Birmingham. Moving to Quilter he specialised in discretionary management for clients referred by financial advisers, solicitors and accountants, following which he became a Director of Rathbones, establishing their Birmingham office. He then joined EFG Harris Allday to develop new investment services for financial advisers' clients, which included implementation and management of all the strategic and tactical marketing, sales and operational processes as well as the day to day management of client portfolios and heading the collective and structured product research and portfolio asset allocation functions. Mark joined Albert E Sharp LLP as a Partner in June 2014 where he continues to manage discretionary bespoke and model portfolios.
