Bureau For Global Health

Serve as the Global Health (GH) Bureau liaison to the Asia and Middle East regional bureaus and missions; manage GH country support teams for USAID mission health offices in the Asia and Middle East regions; lead GH participation in working-level interagency budget, strategy, and program negotiations; provided and coordinated technical and program management support to health teams and programs in the A&ME regions; serve as the GH liaison to the Office of Civilian-Military Cooperation (CMC); provide enhanced support for Jordan, Egypt, Yemen, West Bank & Gaza, India, Nepal, Central Asia, and Ukraine.

Bureau For Global Health

Provided and coordinated support to USAID missions in the development and evaluation of health strategies, performance management plans, annual reports, and other monitoring and evaluation and communication activities. Tasks included: conducting workshops for field health staff; representing missions in USAID/Washington reviews; assisting missions in drafting and editing program documents; developing communications strategies, information tools, and resources for health staff in Washington and in the field; and participating in award selection panels for reproductive health and gender activities. Member of USAID Reproductive Health and Gender Task Force, Fragile States Working Group, Global Health Communications Working Group, and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Subcommittee; HIV/AIDS Core Team Member for Côte d’Ivoire; backstop for USAID health offices in Egypt, Yemen, Jordan, West Bank/Gaza, and Tanzania.

Bureau For Policy And Program Coordination (Ppc)

Served as a member of the Health Policy Team and worked directly with the Senior Health Policy Advisor to perform analytic, programmatic, and logistic duties. Tasks included: drafting and negotiating USAID policy documents; drafting and negotiating briefers for senior U.S. Government officials; analyzing appropriations bills and other legislative documents; participating in and providing input to Agency strategic reviews; managing the drafting and editing of health sector reports to Congress; providing training for USAID mission staff on health policy and legislation requirements.
