I have worked for over 30 years as a social worker, initially for the Kentucky Dept. of Community Based Services/Division of Protection and Permanency (formerly the Dept. of Social Services), and since May 1997 for the Dept. of Juvenile Justice. I have performed many different kinds of services that these agencies provide, and have been a team supervisor for both of them for a combined total of 9 years. I currently am the Juvenile Services Specialist for District Southeast 1 (Jessamine, Garrard, Lincoln, Casey, Boyle, Mercer, Adair and Russell Counties). In this capacity, I have served as essentially a field clinical supervisor for the team, assisting case managers with their more difficult cases, covering these 8 counties' Juvenile Courts, and doing most of the intake and Predisposition Investigation reports on new cases in the district. I also assist the supervisor with training staff and doing case audits, and I am the acting supervisor when the supervisor is away. I love what I do and work hard to do my best. Family and church are also very important parts of my life. I have been married for 39 years come March 2024 and have an adult daughter who is married and has a daughter in 1st grade. Through both work and church, I have a lot of teaching experience. I have taught classes of all age groups over the last almost 50 years.
