- Manage the day to day running of the office- Develop strategies for the trading of green coffee - Manage the price risk management strategy- Overall responsibility for the futures position- Manage the training of new staff- Develop and promote new business opportunities- Develop and promote sustainability programs ( e.g. certified coffee/Women in Coffee etc.).

Main responsibilities:- Provide input into developing a Global Purchasing Strategy and develop a local strategy for the zone and ensure its implementation and communication to internal stakeholders - Manage the team to deliver against Responsible Sourcing strategies - Manage the Supplier selection process - Manage the project to move purchasing in the zone to FOB terms - Agree targets and KPI’s with the Commodity Leadership Team and manage the delivery of these - Ensure agreed service levels are attained for internal stakeholders - Develop the team holding regular one to one meetings and holding formal appraisals and ensuring succession plans are in place

- Increase direct access to Brazilian shippers for green coffee purchases- Increase the supplier base across all origin countries- Increase access to “certified” coffee (e.g. Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, Organic etc.)- Manage “Organic” certification for green coffee and its supply chain- Develop new purchasing markets e.g. Australia, Germany, France etc.- Quality control for both green and soluble coffee- Evaluation and control of company risk position- Managing the hedge / futures / option position- Provide organoleptic appraisals of coffee for supermarkets, department stores, and soluble manufacturing factories- Visit producers and exporters in origin countries (on occasion with clients)

- Purchasing all the UK green coffee needs in accordance with factory and blend requirements and managing stock levels- Input into all areas of budgets and price cover strategies- Regular visits to the factories to manage supply chain and maintain their expectations - Proper execution of all contracts as required by the ECC and specific Nestle contractual clauses- Managing futures/risk position- Continuous liaison with quality department- Regular visits to suppliers in origin- Control quality of all UK green coffee purchased- Arrange soluble tasting as required for Grocery management, marketing etc.- Maintenance of blends- Provide input to Vevey on green coffee evaluation project
